CWM Recovery now available for GT-i9505 Users!

CWM Recovery is now available for GT-i9505 users and TWRP Recovery 2.5.0.1 is here (with bugs fixed, now install/restore working flawless).  You can check out the latest CWM/TWRP recoveries.

And another good news?  I got my brand, new GT-i9505 with a broken screen (the LCD would not power on) but I did swap the LCD from my AT&T S4 and works fine.  (Yes, they are compatible except you do have to swap out the capacitive button daughterboard.)

For those of you having problems with the latest VPUAMDL firmware, this is because Sprint has added a SetUID restriction on the kernel with the latest update.  This can easily be solved by flashing a stock kernel with the restriction removed.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON VPUAMDL build OTHERWISE THIS KERNEL WILL BREAK THINGS IN YOUR PHONE!

For those of you having problems with the latest UVUAMDL firmware, this is because T-Mobile has added a SetUID restriction on the kernel.  This can easily be solved by flashing a stock kernel with the restriction removed.

AT&T and Sprint Galaxy S4 Stock Firmwares Now Available!

For those of you with AT&T Galaxy S4 SGH-i337 or Sprint Galaxy S4 SPH-L720, we have some good news for you there are stock firmwares now available so you can fully unvoid and unroot your device.  There should be more coming for all the other variants such as T-Mobile and Verizon so stay tuned folks.  Also, stock firmwares are already available for GT-i9500 and GT-i9505 users at SamFirmware.com.

CWM Recovery “Stable” NOW AVAILABLE for Sprint and T-Mobile Galaxy S4 Users!

CWM Recovery “stable” version is NOW AVAILABLE for Sprint SPH-L720 and T-Mobile SGH-M919 Galaxy S4 users.  I just verified with my Sprint and T-Mobile Galaxy S4, works 100% fine!

What does this mean?

For those of you who want to install custom ROMs and make backup ROM, you can now use CWM recovery.  And also you can now root your Sprint or T-Mobile Galaxy S4 using the CWM root method.
