For this week’s Galaxy S4 GT-i9500 ROM of the Week, check out the latest Euphoria OS ROM.
Based on latest Android 5.1.1, the Euphoria OS ROM allow you to enjoy the best of latest Android 5.1.1, which comes with added stability, fast performance, and great battery life. The ROM itself is faster than any other custom ROM I’ve tried so far as far as the UI and how fast apps run without any overclocking. You can really feel the difference when running Android 5.1.1.
Other nifty feature include unlocked tethering, long-press back button to kill apps, built-in Superuser, and all the standard features from all-new CM12 ROM including AudioFX app, CM themes, and lots more.
Although there’s no official CM12.1 builds for the GT-i9500 yet, the Euphoria OS will allow you to basically experience all of CM12.1 and this ROM has been optimized specifically for the GT-i9500 so you won’t find bugs. So far, it’s running very well on my GT-i9500 with great battery life so definitely check this ROM out this week(end) and do let me know what you think!
Download Android 5.1 Gapps (DO NOT USE older Gapp as you will FC!!!)

What is a Custom ROM?
A custom ROM is a custom, modified operating system that you can install on your Android device. Basically it's like installing Windows OS on a Macbook. By installing a custom ROM, you can bypass stock factory settings like locked hotspot tether, install new Android versions early, or even convert your phone into another OS.
With a custom ROM, you can really maximize the capabilities of your smartphone by adding custom features that have been developed by open source developers.
How to Install Custom ROMs
First, you will need to root your device, if it is not rooted yet, follow our root tutorial and root your phone.
Once rooted, you should have TWRP installed on your phone. Installation of a custom ROM is easy if you learn the basic of it. If you don't know how to install custom ROMs using TWRP recovery, see our tutorial on How to Install Custom ROM using TWRP!
