If you haven’t heard, there’s a new phone out called OnePlus One. It’s only $349 for the phone but to get it, you will need an invite, which is nearly impossible. Well, OnePlus One phone runs a special version of CM11 ROM dubbed “CM11S”.
If you are tired of waiting for an invite or simply want to try out software on the OnePlus One, you can easily do it by installing CM11 ROM along with our HighOnAndroid OnePlus One conversion kit. This will give you everything from OnePlus One including its lockscreen, Hexo theme, camera, Screencast app (screen recording with voice), and some more. Everything except OnePlus One screen-off gestures work, making your Galaxy S4 converted into OnePlus One (as software goes).
Also CM11 ROM “Snapshot” M9 is out, which is very stable along with zippy performance and great battery life. This is also a great combo you can try for this week so definitely check it out if you want to convert your Galaxy S4 into OnePlus One!
Note: DOES NOT WORK WITH SAFESTRAP RECOVERY!
Download CM11 ROM (for all AT&T/T-Mobile/Sprint/Verizon/Canadian/GT-i9505)
Download CM11 ROM GT-i9500 (For GT-i9500 there are no snapshots but this one is an unofficial build but recommended.)
Download Android 4.4.4 Gapps [You can use Stock or Micro]
Make sure you are using CWM v.126.96.36.199 or higher to install Android 4.4.2/4.4.3/4.4.4 KitKat ROMs! Also you can use TWRP v188.8.131.52 or higher. You can update your CWM recovery using ROM Manager app on Play Store or TWRP Recovery using Goo Manager on Play Store. If having trouble, you can update manually, see our CWM/TWRP Recovery for Galaxy S4.
To install, reboot into recovery, make backup ROM, wipe data/factory reset, install ROM, install Gapps, install Conversion Kit, and reboot. (If for some reason you end up in a bootloop or get force-closed keyboard error on boot, reboot into CWM recovery, go to Mounts & Storage->format /system. For TWRP, go to Wipe->Advanced Wipe->Wipe /system.)

What is a Custom ROM?
A custom ROM is a custom, modified operating system that you can install on your Android device. Basically it's like installing Windows OS on a Macbook. By installing a custom ROM, you can bypass stock factory settings like locked hotspot tether, install new Android versions early, or even convert your phone into another OS.
With a custom ROM, you can really maximize the capabilities of your smartphone by adding custom features that have been developed by open source developers.
How to Install Custom ROMs
First, you will need to root your device, if it is not rooted yet, follow our root tutorial and root your phone.
Once rooted, you should have TWRP installed on your phone. Installation of a custom ROM is easy if you learn the basic of it. If you don't know how to install custom ROMs using TWRP recovery, see our tutorial on How to Install Custom ROM using TWRP!
