How To Root Galaxy S4, custom ROMs, and more!

Latest stable Gummy ROM is out dubbed “M3”, which will give you stability of milestone release along with everything working out of the box. Gummy ROM has always been one of my favorite ROMs, what I like about it is that it comes with a slew of great customization/tweaks along with great battery life/performance.
If you haven’t heard, there’s a new phone out called OnePlus One. It’s only $349 for the phone but to get it, you will need an invite, which is nearly impossible. Well, OnePlus One phone runs a special version of CM11 ROM dubbed “CM11S”.
For this week’s Galaxy S4 ROM of the Week, check out Graviton ROM, available for AT&T, T-Mobile, Canadian, and GT-i9505. Also can be installed on AT&T Galaxy S4 with SafeStrap.
If you are looking for a good, minimalist custom ROM on the latest Android 4.4.2 firmware, this is definitely a great ROM for that. Based on GT-i9505 firmware, you will get goodies like Hotspot working out of the box (for AT&T and T-Mobile users) and complete removal of bloatware that may have caused lag on stock ROM.

Based on latest Android 4.4.4, Mahdi ROM is a new custom AOSP ROM (What is AOSP?) on the market that brings ultimate performance tweaks along with many customizations. You will get a speedy ROM with a custom kernel that has tweaked governor for added performance/battery life.
For those of you haven’t heard, Android 4.4.3 is already out since last week and if you want to experience the latest Android 4.4.3 with full root, you can do so with the latest CM11 (CyanogenMod) ROM!
And no, you don’t have to wait for official firmwares to come out from Samsung, which will probably take weeks or months more from now on.
For this week’s ROM of the week, also check out Insane KitKat ROM for Galaxy S4, available for T-mobile SGH-M919, Canadian, and GT-i9505 variants.
Based on latest T-Mobile Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware, Insane KitKat ROM brings you a ton of fun customization through its AROMA installer and through various different Xposed modules, which you can also choose which ones to install. Based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, AICP ROM is an AOSP ROM (What is AOSP?) featuring full AOKP ROM Control Settings along with other AOSP features.

(You can already do it with screen recording apps but this one is integrated into the ROM.) Of course, Android 4.3/4.3.1 custom ROMs still feature more customization than Android 4.4 KitKat ROMs and if you need a lot of customization, we suggest you to look for older 4.3 Jelly Bean ROMs.
